View Funeral WebcastMrs. Della Shrader "Granny" Harrington, 90, former longtime resident of Bernhardt Blvd., died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Sherry Ladd officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Florence, Alabama native was the daughter of the late Robert Shrader and Chaddie Brewer Shrader. She was married to J.T. Harrington who preceded her in death August 18, 1985. Mrs. Harrington was retired from Dixie Manufacturing. She was a member of House of Prayer Baptist Church. Survivors include six grandchildren, Chris Bradford, Ricky (Pam) Thompson, Terry (Denise) Thompson, Lisa (Betzel) Patrick, Rebecca Thompson, Tommy (Donna) Wylie; nine great-grandchildren, Chase (Mandy) Patrick, Ashley Patrick, T. J. Thompson, Emily Thompson, Shelly Morton, Sammy Jo (Ryan Allen) Buchner, Sara Chapman, Mitchell (Tina) Wylie, Brittany Dalton; four great-great grandchildren, Andrew Frailey, Ethan Thomas Buchner, Jacob Taylor Buchner, William Paul Chapman; son-in-law, Bobby Thompson; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Wylie and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Shrader. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Kathern Thompson and Betty Sue Bradford; a son, Mark Wylie; and great-grandson, Brent Thompson. Pallbearers will be Danny Harrington, Vance Owens, Bo Davis, Chase Patrick, T.J. Thompson, Warren Davis and Timmy Owens. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Northside Family Health Group, the staff of Life Care Center; past employees of Dixie Manufacturing and Weather Tamer, Dr. Shawn Gentry and Allison Ralston, P.A.
