Diane Fraser Morel Bishop, 79, retired social worker for the City of Columbia, died Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at Mt. Nebo Cemetery with Brother Bobby McCord officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Born July 28, 1943 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Hazel Ezel Morel and the late Mary Elizabeth Fraser Morel. She married William “Bill” Bishop who preceded her in death July 6, 2011. Mrs. Bishop loved antiques, interior design. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Robert (Tommi) Robinson, William (John Hamilton) Robinson, Jeff (Renee) Bishop, Chris Bishop (Jordan Barber); eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; sisters, Gail Haywood (Joe) Bishop, Sherry Diane Sowell; son-in-law, Kenneth Wooten; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Wooten; and son, Martin Eugene Bishop.
