Don Trulove

May 5, 1932 — November 9, 2012

William Donald "Don" Trulove, 80, retired from the shipping and receiving department at Union Carbide Corporation and resident of Osborne Drive, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Jeremy Butt and Curtis Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be extended at oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Richard Trulove and Ethel Wright Trulove and a 1950 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Mr. Trulove loved fishing and was delighted when he was pictured with his prize catfish in THE DAILY HERALD. He also took great pride in a well-kept yard and automobile. He enjoyed fellowship with the Roundtable Group at Kathy's Restaurant, but his greatest joy was in his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a long-time member of Highland Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Joan Richardson Trulove, whom he married in 1959; daughter, Donna Trulove (Bobby) Baker of Campbellsville; son, Tod (Tamara) Trulove of Columbia; grandchildren, Gaston Baker, Garrett Baker, Michael Trulove, and Parker Trulove. Active pallbearers are Gaston Baker, Garrett Baker, Michael Trulove, Parker Trulove, Ted Huntley, and Jimmy Spivey. Members of The Roundtable Group at Kathy's and his loving care-givers will serve as honorary pallbearers.
