View Video TributeView Funeral Service WebcastMr. Donald Wayne "Tiger" Briggs, 42, resident of Pulaski Highway, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Signature Health Care. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. A native of Kingsport, he was the son of Donald Farris Briggs and Lynda June Coffey Briggs of Columbia. He attended Culleoka Unit School until he and his family moved to Idaho where he graduated from Soda Springs High School. He was a member of Highland Church of Christ. In addition to his parents survivors include a sister, Treisa (Harvey) Briggs of Columbia; a niece, Eva Marie Briggs of Columbia; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, William Amos and Pauline Briggs; maternal grandparents, Landon and Hazel Coffey; and a cousin, Tommy Bart Briggs. Cousins will serve as pallbearers.
