View Funeral WebcastDonald Wade Campbell, Sr., 87, retired heavy equipment operator with Columbia Rock Products for over fifty-eight years, died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Ezell Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late John Alexander Campbell, Sr. and Susie Ann Riggins Campbell. On March 26, 1975 he married Lucille Baker Campbell who preceded him in death on May 11, 2000. Mr. Campbell was an avid racing fan and enjoyed watching wrestling. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Linda Campbell (Sonny) Robinson of Columbia and Debra Campbell (Tony) Bradford of Lewisburg; sister, Olivia Campbell Blalock of Columbia; brothers, Hershel (Maggie) Campbell and Billy Ray Campbell, both of Columbia; daughter-in-law, Melissa Campbell Carney; grandchildren, Rusty (Misty) Robinson, Benji (Brandy) Robinson, Gina Campbell (Russell) Molder, Donald Wade (Kristy) Campbell, III, Kim Bates, Anita Jackson Brady, Michelle Jackson (Rusty) Shearer, Crystal Jackson (Rob) Zimmerman, Tony A. Jackson; eighteen great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wade Campbell, Jr.; sister, Mable Ann Beard; and brothers, Luther Thomas Campbell, John Campbell, Jr., and Harold Campbell. Active pallbearers will be Rusty Robinson, Benji Robinson, Wade Campbell, Tony Jackson, Russell Molder, Rob Zimmerman, and David Brady. Honorary pallbearers include Randy Rose, retired employees of Columbia Rock Products and Industrial Contractors, and members of Riverview Baptist Church.
