Donald Edward "Trout" Thomas

Donald Edward "Trout" Thomas, 71, resident of Campbellsville Pike, died Friday, March 11, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Pastor Mark Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends after 4:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Pentecostal Church of Christ, P. O. Box 1633, Columbia 38402. He worked for Monsanto Company for 30 years and retired as a department foreman in December 1994. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty Jo Bolton Thomas of Columbia; sons, Donald Joe (Jami) Thomas of Culleoka and Ronald Edward Thomas of Columbia; sister, Kathryn Hogan of Columbia; brother, David (Lois) Thomas of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Donald Lance Thomas of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, Lauren Elizabeth Thomas of Columbia, Lindsey Jo Thomas and Lacey Blair Thomas, both of Culleoka; aunts, Lucille Mitchell, Josephine Edwards, and Pauline Foster; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Felker, Mary (Bill) Adkison, Shelby Hanvy, Glenda Bolton, and Letha (Danny) Smith; brothers-in-law, Bennie (Alice) Bolton and Art Dukes; special brother, Sheriff Enoch George; several nieces and nephews.
