Mrs. Donna Louise Fraser Johns, 70, retired receptionist for Dr. Joel Hargrove and Dr. Taylor Rayburn, died Sunday at her residence on Mockingbird Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 5 - 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Maury County she was the daughter of the late William Coggins Fraser and Maxine Elizabeth Moffett Fraser. She was a 1961 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Columbia Business College. On February 11, 1971 she married Joe Dean Johns to whom she devoted the last few years of his life faithfully caring for him. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2013 after forty-two years of marriage. Mrs. Johns most recently had attended First Family Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Michael Joe (Alice) Johns of Columbia; granddaughters, Ella Claire Johns and Lynnlee Johns both of Columbia; sister, Elizabeth Ann Lyons of Memphis; nephews, Randy (Susie) Brown and Sohn (Angie) Lyons; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Eugene Lyons. Pallbearers will be Randy Brown, Billy Brown, Brent Holt, Sohn Lyons, Mitchell Johns and Bill Denton.
