Donnie Craig

Donnie Craig, 70, retired employee of Occidental Chemical Company and resident of Culleoka, died Thursday, June 2, 2022 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 P.M. at Glenwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and Sunday from 1:00 P.M. – 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born June 11, 1951 in Limestone County, Alabama, he was the son of the late John Leroy Craig and the late Nellie Mae Sims Craig. For about 30 years, he worked for Columbia Construction. Mr. Craig loved fishing and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, whom he married August 1973, Wanda Church Craig of Culleoka; children, Scott (Talitha) Craig of Murfreesboro; Angela Johnson of Columbia; sister, Annette Dillehay of Columbia; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ronnie Craig; brothers, Mason Craig, Morris Craig; and sister, Lennie Gibson. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to express a special thanks to Angela and Danny Wilson, Dr. Charles Ball, the staff of NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care, and the staff of Caris Hospice for their care and help through this difficult time.
