Donnie Marvin Watkins

Donnie Marvin Watkins, 52, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 3:30 PM at Glenwood Cemetery with Andrew Skipper officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers the family suggest donation to the Donnie Watkins Fund P.O. He was born on May 25, 1973 in Maury County, TN, to Johnny (Jan Foster) Watkins and Lois Clark Watkins. Donnie had a hard work ethic and enjoyed working alongside his father for many years. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, playing guitar, spending time with his family and friends, and was known for his funny outgoing personality. He loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Brooklyn Watkins; sister, Tracy (Bubba) Deason; step sister, Janean (Bobby) Greer; nieces, Destanee Deason, Dakotah Deason, Shyanne Watkins; great niece, Ellianna Deason; nephew, Kaleb Deason; grandmother, Margie Clark, as well as, 8 great nieces and nephews

Donnie was preceded in death by his son, Dyllan Watkins.

Active pallbearers will be Kaleb Deason, Chase Martin, Shay Harris, Dale Adcock, Jan McDevitt, and Blake Shedd.
