View Funeral Webcast Mrs. Doris Brown Pratt, 82, resident of Columbia, died Monday, October 12, 2015 at TriStar Skyline Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols with Ed Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Thomas Arthur Brown and Irene Gray Brown. Mrs. Pratt was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, reading, and was very devoted to her great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ and previously attended Philippi Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Pratt Brawner of Columbia; grandson, Joshua (LeeAnn) Brawner of Columbia; granddaughter, Holly Nicole Brawner of Columbia; great-grandchildren, Bryson Lee Brawner, Reagan Marie Glass, Steven Shuck, Kadnice Shuck, Rylee Shuck, and Kohl Paul; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Marie Slaughter and Mattie Mae Williams; brothers, James Pipkin and J.D. Brown. Active pallbearers will be Josh Brawner, Shane Hickman, Thomas Brown, Brian Cathey, Dwayne Glass, and Chris Zuniga.
