View Video TributeMrs. Dorothy Allene "Dot" Pruitt Greenfield, 71, resident of Dorman Drive, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Signature Health Care. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, at 12:00 noon at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1864, Columbia, TN 38402. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Mt. Pleasant she was the daughter of the late "J.T." Pruitt and Myrtle Fuller Pruitt Cothran and was a 1960 graduate of Haylong High School. On February 24, 1967 she married Ronnie Greenfield who preceded her in death July 15, 1987. Mrs. Greenfield was employed by several clothing manufacturing plants in Columbia, was a former employee of Nick's Clothing and Auction and retired as a cashier from Harris Foodland. She enjoyed flower gardening and had attended New Lasea Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife and beloved mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family. Survivors include her children, Ronnie Dean Greenfield of Columbia, Kristi Greenfield Hutzel of Spring Hill, Jason Ryan Greenfield of Columbia; three grandchildren, Aaron Greenfield, Colton Hutzel, Hailey Hutzel; sisters-in-law, Ira Pruitt of Mt. Pleasant, Faye Greenfield of Nashville, Yamuna Greenfield of Alabama; and nephews, Tony Pruitt, Jeffrey Pruitt and Donnie Dye. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Arch Pruitt, Charles Pruitt and Tommy Pruitt. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
