Dorothy "Dot" Deloris Foster Ferguson Johnson, 92, resident of Campbellsville Pike, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Hubert McGarity and Sister Marie Pressnell officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. after 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Notes of condolence may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late William Ben Foster and Lucy Jane Sutton Foster. She first married Leslie B. Ferguson who died in 1976. In 1990, she married Tom B. Johnson who died July 11, 2000. Mrs. Johnson was a seamstress for Publix Manufacturing Company for 25 years. A devoted member of Highland Avenue Church of God over 60 years, she loved singing and listening to gospel music and for several years sang in a gospel group. A loving mother and grandmother, she was well-known for her God-fearing faith and prayerful generosity and love of gardening. Survivors include her daughter, Jackie (Larry) Belew of Hohenwald; son, Eddy Ferguson of Mt. Pleasant; step-children, Doris (Bill) Hossbach, Nancy (Tom) Coghlan, Cummins (Frances) Johnson, S. I. (Nancy) Johnson, and Linda Johnson; Daughter-in-law Patsy Johnson; sister, Betty Thurman; brother, Taylor (Christine) Foster; grandchildren, Tonya (Timothy) Hodges, Tiffani (Anthony) Cornelius, and Johnny (Andrea) Brooks; great-grandchildren, Austin Pierce, Haylee Oldham, Jacob Oldham, Anslee Cornelius, Julian Brooks, and Trinity Brooks; 6 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step-son, Tom "Buddy" Johnson; sisters, Louise Grissom and Bessie Clark; and brothers, Lee Foster and Raymond Foster. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
