View Video Tribute Dorothy Mai Mayberry Roberts, 95, retired employee of Dixie Manufacturing and longtime resident of Lewisburg, died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Signature Health Care. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 4:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Russ Adcox officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Wallace Childress Mayberry and Katherine McMeen Mayberry. On February 17, 1951, she married John Wesley Roberts who preceded her in death on August 4, 1973. Mrs. Roberts had also worked as a private sitter and sold Stanley Products for several years. She was a member of Maury Hills Church. She is survived by nephew-in-law, Bill Compton; great nephews, Daryl (Melinda) Compton and Keith Compton; and great great nephews, Kenneth (Danielle) Compton and Damien Compton, with whom she made home for several years. Other survivors include nieces, Barbara (Charles) Keltner, Carol Faye (Jerry) Walters, Patricia Mayberry, Pam (Peter) Fisackerly, Suzanne (Carlton) Scott; nephews, John L. (Kay) Davis, Tommy Ray (Emily) Mayberry, Donald C. (Linda) Mayberry; several great nieces and great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews; and great great great nieces and great great great nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Hutcherson and Frances Davis; two brothers, Wallace C. Mayberry, Jr. and Tom Abb Mayberry; and niece, Katherine Compton. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
