Dr. Sami Badie Naddy, 59, father, husband, son, and beloved pharmacist of Columbia, died Friday, August 30, 2024 surrounded by his whole family at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after an ongoing battle with multiple health issues. Selfless from the day he was born until his final breath, he prolonged his suffering 3 days to improve the lives of others as an organ donor.

Sami was born on June 30, 1965 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to Dr. Badie Ibrahim “B.I.” Naddy of Columbia and Dr. Deanna Janette Ross Naddy of Hampshire. He graduated from Columbia State Community College, Austin Peay State University, and received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Samford University.

He was a beloved pharmacist for the last 2 years at Duren Apothecary in Hohenwald and for 26 years at Kroger Pharmacy in Columbia. He was devoted to his community and a longtime member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

He passed his unwavering faith in God on to his children and grandchildren. Kindhearted, generous, selfless, gentle, and loving are all words Sami’s family, friends, and lifelong pharmacy patients use to describe his beautiful soul. Sami never met a stranger, could make everyone he met laugh, and did everything in his power to make everyone’s life better. He was a devout Tennessee Volunteers fan and loved fishing, the beach, grilling, playing darts, ping pong, backgammon, and his family most of all.

In addition to his parents, he will be eternally missed by his loyal wife of 26 years, Nancy Kammer Naddy of Columbia; four children, Lindsay Colleen Pitstick (Bryan) of Dayton, Ohio, Badia Sami Naddy of Dickson, Talia Deanna Naddy of Chapel Hill, and Ramzi Lane Naddy of Columbia; two brothers, Dr. Rami Badie Naddy (Whitney) of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Dr. Gibran Badie Naddy (Sherri) of Columbia; four grandchildren, Sami Badia Naddy, Lucy Pitstick, Annie Pitstick, and Jack Pitstick; eight nieces and nephews, Lindsey Nicole Brown (Daniel), Callin Elizabeth Naddy, Joseph Rami Naddy, Paige Hall (Brian), Clark Daniel (Brooklin), Laith Naddy, Claire Naddy, and Gabriel Naddy; four brothers-in-law, David Kammer, Richard Kammer, Kenny Kammer, Terry Barrett; three sisters-in-law, Lisa Goff (Bill), Peggy Kammer (Kenny), and Cher Kammer; and multiple nieces-in-law and nephews-in-law.

He is preceded in death by his nephew, Joshua David Brown; his great nephew, Jaxson Joshua Brown; his parents-in-law, Don and Rita Kammer; two brothers-in-law, Steve Kammer and Danny Kammer; and his sister-in-law, Ann Kammer Barrett.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, September 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with the Reverend Chris Bowhay officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. John’s Episcopal Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:30am until 12:00pm in the Parish Hall at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
