Mr. Durll Wayne Geasley, 58, painter and builder with Ed Vaughn Construction and resident of Morningside Ave, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Boshers officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born March 6, 1957 in Davidson County he was the son of the late James William Geasley and Dorothy Applebee Geasley. He was a very hard worker and well known painter in the Columbia area. He loved fishing and coon hunting. Mr. Geasley was devoted to his family and loved his grandchildren dearly. He is survived by his wife, Connie Sue Ragsdale Geasley of Columbia; daughter, Melinda Suzanne Geasley of Columbia; son, Durll Geasley of Columbia; brothers, James Geasley, Terry Geasley, and Roy Geasley; sisters, Teresa Pewitt, Sharlene Mullins, and Patsy Mullins; grandchildren, Alisha Marie Mosley and Lacy Breann Mosley; mother-in-law, Mildred Ragsdale; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Pauline Geasley; and father-in-law, Marshall Ragsdale. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
