Earnest Allen Bailey

Earnest Allen Bailey, 72, of Culleoka, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

He was born November 15, 1953, to the late Willard Gregory Bailey, Sr. and Annie Walker Allen Bailey. Allen lived in Atlanta, Georgia, for much of his adult life.

Allen worked at Walker Hill from the time he graduated from high school, serving as a lighting technician and groundskeeper. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama.

An avid sports fan, Allen faithfully followed the Atlanta Braves and was a devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Gregory Bailey, Jr. and Steven Owen Bailey; and a sister, Gladys Elizabeth Fox; he was also preceded in death his good friend Charles Walker.

He is survived by his sisters, Ina Ruth Fitzgerald of Pulaski, Tennessee, Mary Francis (Frank) James of Culleoka, Tennessee, and Carolyn (Stephen) Flemming of Columbia, Tennessee; brother, James Mark (Beth) Bailey; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also special friend Lorraine and good friend, Ron Hoffman.

Allen will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of sports, his years of dedicated work, and the memories he made with those who knew and loved him. He will always be remembered, Roll Tide.
