View Video Tribute View Funeral WebcastMr. Edgar Bostelman, 83, resident of Crofton Park Dr., died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Napoleon, Ohio native was the son of the late Alvin Bostelman and Alvina Miller Bostelman. On December 12, 1959 he married Lois Sandrell Bostelman who survives. Mr. Bostelman served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was employed with Matlack, Inc. trucking business for thirty-four years. He was a member of Eagles 197 Lodge in Toledo and was a member of Toledo Holy Cross Lutheran Church where he served as head trustee. Upon his retirement he helped with A1 Gutter Service and Bostelman Enterprises. In 2010 he and his wife moved to Columbia. Throughout his life he enjoyed golfing and fishing and was a much beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Survivors in addition to his wife include his sons, Steven (Monica) Bostelman of Franklin, Mark (Lisa) Bostelman of Columbia, Kelvin (Jennifer) Bostelman of Toledo, Ohio; sisters, Renata Homan of Napoleon, Ohio, Hildegarde "Kate" Meyer of Deshler, Ohio; grandchildren, Chrystyl Bostelman, Connor Bostelman, Brette Bostelman, Blake Bostelman, Aidan Bostelman, Nash Bostelman, Jordan (Lindsey) Oakman, Taylor (Christopher) Webster, Morgan Bostelman, Monica Bostelman, Dominic Bostelman, Kameron Bostelman, Karis Bostelman, Tony Tallent, Hayley Tallent; and great-grandchildren, Braxton Brooks, Ryker Oakman, Rhett Oakman and Carter Swartz. He was preceded in death by brothers, Walter Bostelman, Bert Bostelman and Melvin Bostelman. Active pallbearers will be Joey Allen, Wade Sandrell, Christopher Webster, Dominic Bostelman, Jordan Oakman, Blake Bostelman, Kameron Bostelman, Ronnie Erwin, Jim Bostelman and Tony Tallent. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of A1 Gutter Services and Bostelman Enterprises. Special thanks to the staff of Life Care Center.
