Edith Faye Barnett

Edith Faye Barnett, 75, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Pastor Gene Shelton officiating. The family will visit with friends at the gravesite. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Herman W. Barnett and Pauline Adams Barnett. She was a 1958 graduate of Columbia Central High School and earned her Associate Degree from Columbia State Community College. Miss Barnett retired after thirty-four years employment with the State of Tennessee. She was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her brother, H. Wilson (Jane) Barnett of Columbia; nephews, Jonathan (LeeAnn) Barnett and Jamie Barnett, both of Columbia; David (Jessica) Barnett of Collierville; niece, Lori Jane (Sean) Daniels of Thompson's Station; several great nieces and great nephews; and her beloved cat Taffy.
