Edna Holt Dugger

View Funeral Webcast Edna Areta Holt Dugger, 83, retired manager of Remnant House in Nashville and former resident of Columbia, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at NHC Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Home with Chaplain Bob Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late J. E. "Pete" Holt and Mattie Jane Keel Holt. Mrs. Dugger enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She was a member of Blackman Church of Christ in Murfreesboro. Survivors include a daughter, Diane (Wayne) Moore of Murfreesboro; three sons, Jim (Becky) Dugger of Charlotte, North Carolina; Michael (Kaye) Dugger of Murfreesboro; Phillip Dugger of Smyrna; three brothers, Ted (Maxine) Holt of Columbia; Frank (Faye) Holt of Summertown; Joe Holt of Joelton; three sisters, Carolyn (James) Page of Mt. Juliet; Nettie Sue Hinson of Hohenwald; Rachel Mayo of Decaturville; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Sidney Dugger; a daughter, Teresa Ledford; four sisters, Margaret Taylor, Bertha Kelley, Bonnie Hinson, Gladys Thornhill; and two brothers, Bill Holt and Leon Holt. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
