View Funeral Webcast Mr. Edward Wayne Reese, Sr., 74, retired from Columbia Neon and resident of Tinsley Lane, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Williamson Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rick Bilyeu officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Lonnie Marion Reese and Nina Westmoreland Reese. He attended Maury County schools and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Reese was first married to Dorothy L. Morton Reese who preceded him in death in 1988. In 1997 he married Virginia Logue Reese of Columbia who survives. He was a member of Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19 and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife survivors include sons, Edward Wayne Reese, Jr. and William Ernest Reese both of Columbia; step-son, Michael (Marsha) Brown of Columbia; step-daughter, Teresa (Rickey) Bradley of Lynnville; three step-grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; sister, Reba Holley of Memphis; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include Jimmy Farris, Charles Stofel, Joe West, Michael Brown, Chris McCormick, Jimmy Duvall and George Stofel.
