Mrs. Elizabeth Cooper Humphrey, 93, long-time resident of Campbellsville Pike, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born December 6, 1922 in Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late L.K. Cooper and Mary Emily Mayberry Cooper. She graduated from Hickman County High School and attended Watkins Business Institute. She worked for McQuitty Printing Company before marrying Thomas E. Humphrey, Jr. on November 3, 1945 who preceded her in death January 8, 1978. Mrs. Humphrey was a member of Graymere Church of Christ, where she was very involved with the Benevolent Committee delivering and preparing meals on wheels and the clothes closet. Survivors include her daughter, Joann (David) Pullum of Columbia; son, Thomas E. (Besty) Humphrey, III of Bell Buckle, TN; grandchildren, Sheila (Tony) Morreale, Russell (Catharine) Humphrey, Seth (Anna) Humphrey, Reggie Humphrey, Jenny Humphrey, Will (Kristina) Pullum, and Gentry (Danny) Castle; twelve great grandchildren; and sister, Peggy (Leonard) Deen of Hickman County. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Active pallbearers will be Russell Humphrey, Seth Humphrey, Reggie Humphrey, Will Pullum, Danny Castle, and Tony Morreale.
