Elizabeth Brooks Martin

Mrs. Carrie Elizabeth Brooks Martin, 78, resident of Hay Hollow Road in Santa Fe, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Johnson and Dr. Tom Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Charlie Fred Brooks and Blanche Moseley Brooks. She was married to Thomas Robert Martin who preceded her in death September 19, 2000. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of children. She was a member of Elmore Church of the Nazarene and loved her church and her family. Survivors include her sons, Wayne (Sheila) Martin and Eddie (Annette) Martin both of Santa Fe and Dale (Debbie) Martin and Daniel DuBerry both of Hickman County; sisters, Marie Davidson of Columbia, Margaret Roland of Lewisburg, Dorothy Draper of Lafayette; brothers, Fred Brooks and John William Brooks both of Columbia; grandchildren, Jessica, Kayla, Heather, Brandy, Justin, James, Cheyenne; great-grandchild, Ashlynn; several half brothers and half sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
