View Funeral Webcast Elizabeth Yearwood Warren, 97, former resident of Campbellsville Pike, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the home of her daughter. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with John Vaughan and Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to J. C. Born and reared in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Lex Yearwood and Mattie Edwards Yearwood. She attended Rutherford County schools and Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. She married J. C. Warren, well-known Maury County businessman, July 19, 1936. Their forty-nine year marriage ended with his death September 30, 1985. She was a long-time member and active in the affairs of Graymere Church of Christ. An avid golfer for many years, she was a member of Graymere Country Club, Graymere Ladies Golf Association, and Stoneybrook Golf Club. She also enjoyed playing bridge. Survivors include her daughters, Barrie (David) Taylor and Sharon (Mike) Greene of Columbia; son, Phillip (Martha) Warren of Columbia; grandchildren, Patti Dunnivant, Elizabeth (Darrel) Marlin, Warren (Amelia) Greene, Preston (Sharon) Warren, Peggy Scott (Eric) Poe, and Ben Taylor; great-grandchildren, Daniel Dunnivant, Michael Marlin, Anna Beth Marlin, Fern Greene, Birdie Greene, Lollie Jo Greene, Joseph Warren, Bailey Warren, Eliza Poe, and Barrett Poe. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Minnie Ocia Turner and Thelma Dillon and brothers, Nile Yearwood, Dan Yearwood, Lem Yearwood, and Houston Yearwood. Serving as active pallbearers are Darrel Marlin, Warren Greene, Preston Waren, Eric Poe, Ben Taylor, Daniel Dunnivant, Mark Taylor, and Joseph Warren. Honorary pallbearers include present and former Elders and Deacons of Graymere Church of Christ, Lenora and Andy Hunter, Betty Lou and Jim Carrigan, Faye and Ray Locke, Olivyn and Harold Hardison, Margaret Wilburn, Dody Billingsley, Dr. John Simmons, and Dr. John Maloof.
