View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Elizabeth Flo Thurman Wells, 88, homemaker and resident of Brentwood, died Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born April 14, 1934 in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Beaumont Thurman and the late Flora Cross Thurman. On July 3, 1954, she married Wade Dowlen Wells who preceded her in death March 7, 1993. Mrs. Wells loved her family, cooking, and was known for having the best sweet tea. She was a member of Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter, Lori (Terry) Arrington of Clarksville; daughter-in-law, Tammi H. Wells of Lynnville; grandchildren, Beau Wells, Katie Wells (Chance) Motter, Blair (Sydney) Arrington, Wade Arrington; great grandchildren, Calvin Motter, Haddee Arrington, Macie Motter; and niece, Kimber Dickert-Bradley of Connecticut. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Keith Dowlen Wells. Active pallbearers will be Beau Wells, Chance Motter, Blair Arrington, Wade Arrington, and Terry Arrington.
