Elizabeth Wilson

Elizabeth "Libby" Wilson, 60, retired insurance agent and former owner of Columbia Insurance Agency and part-time secretary at Duck River Realty, Inc., died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at her residence. The family will visit with friends from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. Monday at Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Roger Nicholson will conduct graveside services 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 801 South High Street, Columbia 38401 or the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 1864, Columbia 38402. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. Born and reared in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late John B. Wilson and Kathryn Thomas "Kitty" Wilson. She was a 1967 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University where she earned a degree in secretarial science. She was a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, Shane R. Pipkin of Denver, Colorado; nieces, Teri Bolton Glass of Ohio and Cyndi (Scott) Bolton Cushman of Gallatin. She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Wilson Fairchild. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements.
