Ella Pearl Anderson

Ella Pearl Clark Anderson, 93, of Columbia, passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, with her son and granddaughter holding her hands.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bro. Butch Sobiek officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Ella was born March 14, 1933, in Maury County to the late Angie Ora Pearl Spires Clark and Mack Brownie Clark. She married Robert “Cotton” Anderson on September 29, 1951. Ella retired from General Electric Corporation in 1993 after 18 years of service.

Ella loved the Lord and her family dearly. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was a member of Loyal Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Clark Anderson of Unionville; sister, Edith Hill of Franklin; brother, Dewey (Linda) Clark of Rally Hill; grandchildren, Stephanie (Josh) Gathright, Michael (Nikki) Anderson, and Justin Anderson; along with several great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Cotton” Anderson; sons, Michael Benton Anderson and Barry Keith Anderson; and siblings, Mack Clark, Fannie Mae Beckum, and Mildred Waller.

Pallbearers will be Josh Gathright, Shane Veach, Michael Anderson, Toby Hill, Russel Sullivan, and Van Clark.
