Ethel Sanders Love, 97, resident of Still Pond Road, died Monday, August 11, 2014 at Signature Health Care. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. . A native of Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late George Sanders and Laura Banks Sanders. "Maw Love", as she was affectionately known, worked at Po' Boy Restaurant for several years and later retired from the Brown School Cafeteria. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and growing African Violets. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Joyce (Carroll) Beard of Columbia and Jane (Charles) Davis of Culleoka; daughter-in-law, Donna Stewart Love of Columbia; grandchildren, Jimmy (Sharon) Love, Deonna (Steve) Phillips, Christopher (Mechia) Love, Tracy (Steve) Ellis, and Chip (Tracy) Davis, all of Columbia; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, William C. Love, Jr.; three sisters, Louise Edwards, Agnes Oliver, and Annie Mae McCaleb; and two brothers, G. H. Sanders and James Sanders. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Signature Health Care and Hospice Compassus.
