Ethel Mae Winchester Lovett

Mrs. Ethel Mae Winchester Lovett, 72, widow of Larry D. Lovett and longtime resident of Brannon Court, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Steve Swango officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5 - 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichos.com. A native of Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Lee Winchester, Sr. and Helen Louise Traylor Winchester. As a child she was partially reared by her paternal grandparents the late John Alex Winchester and Minnie Lee Reese Winchester. Mrs. Lovett was a graduate of Manchester High School and attended David Lipscomb University and Tennessee Valley College in Huntsville, Alabama. She had been employed as executive secretary to the Director of Licensure for the State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health. Mrs. Lovett was a member of Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Warner of Sylmar, California; her aunts and uncles, Bessie Heithcock of Franklin, Betty and Donald Lunn of Columbia and Katie and James Winchester of Columbia; several cousins; and one very special friend, Bobbie Counts of Columbia.
