Mrs. Eunice Cheek Pullen, 87, retired sales clerk, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at her residence on Neeley Hollow Road. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Greg Daimwood officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Cordie Lee Cheek and Bessie Alsup Cheek. She was married to Russell Lee Pullen who preceded her in death on July 23, 2003. Mrs. Pullen had worked at several stores in Columbia including McClellan's, Grants, Roses, Big K, and Walmart. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was a member of Ephesus Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons, Dan (Donna) Pullen, Randy (Claudia) Pullen, and Terry (Betty) Pullen, all of Columbia; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Christine Pullen and Letha Pullen, both of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Lee Pullen; granddaughter, Melissa Leigh Pullen; sisters, Gladys Tindell and Mary Rummage; brothers, Ercell Cheek, J. V. Cheek, Norris Cheek, and Morris Cheek. Family will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Ephesus Church of Christ.
