View Video Tribute Eunice Westmoreland Steward, 96, homemaker and long-time resident of the Water Valley Community, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at her home on Steam Mill Hollow Road. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Ronnie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Santa Fe Cemetery. The Maury County native was the daughter of late Terry Westmoreland and Emily Byrd Westmoreland. In 1931, she married Walker Jackson Steward who preceded her in death August 6, 1986. Survivors include daughters, Ann Babcock of Franklin, Melvie Jean (Roy) Potts of Santa Fe, Mary Goodman of Spring Hill, Barbara Chessor of Columbia, Kathy Steward of Bell Buckle; sons, Everett (Clara) Steward of Santa Fe, Charles Steward of Primm Springs, Kenneth (Pam) Steward of Water Valley; sisters, Lucille Morton of Nashville and Valeri Burns of Santa Fe; brother, James Westmoreland of Centerville; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rebecca Steward and sons, Bob Steward, Dean Steward, Ronnie Steward, and R. W. Steward; sister, Bertha Morton; brothers, Ed Westmoreland, Robert Westmoreland, William E. "Dibble" Westmoreland, T. C. Westmoreland, and George Tommy Westmoreland. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
