Farrell Hall

Vernon Farrell Hall, 50, former resident of Columbia, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at NHC Oakwood in Lewisburg. Graveside services will be Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at Cross Bridges Cemetery in Maury County with Pastor Steve Gervasi and George Simmons officiating. The family will visit with friends at graveside. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. Born in Maury County, he was the son of the late Robert Joseph Hall and Estalene Rosson Simmons. He attended the Baptist Church and as a youngster loved cars and fishing with his friends. Survivors include two brothers, Robert Dan (Elizabeth) Hall of Culleoka and George Thomas Simmons of Camden; nieces, Lillian Marie Hall, Elizabeth LeAnne Simmons, and Rachel Brooks Simmons Morgan; nephews, William Robert Hall and Ricky Ray Holtz; several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Ray Hall. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements.
