Faye Riggins Young

Virginia Faye Riggins Young, 58, resident of Womble Ridge Road in Ethridge and former resident of Culleoka, died Monday, October 18, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mickey Brackin officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Garland Morris Riggins and Lessie Viola Steelman Riggins. On April 11, 1974 she married Billy Ray Young who preceded her in death December 24, 2003. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and crocheting and loved being with her family. Mrs. Young was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her son Billy Morris (Melissa) Young of Murfreesboro; daughter Belinda (Colin) Bradley of Summertown; sister Kathy (Kenny) Hickman of Ethridge; two brothers Danny (Pat) Riggins and Randy Riggins both of Ethridge; three grandchildren Leslie Renae Young, Angela Marie Bradley both of Summertown and Matthew DeSean Young of Murfreesboro; two uncles C.E. (Jenny) Riggins of Decatur, Alabama, Lloyd (Sandra) Steelman of Fayetteville: and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry Hickman. Pallbearers will be Steve Riggins, Neal Hickman, Justin Gillum, Johnson Cozart, Willie McElhiney, Jeramie Hill and Kevin Isabell.
