View Funeral Webcast Florence Mullins York, longtime resident of Graymere Manor Road, died Thursday, March 17, 2011 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Joe Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. in the church parlor. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Born February 25, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Ridley Mullins and Deane McDonald Mullins of White County, Tennessee. She was married to Clyde M. York who preceded her in death on December 19, 1993. Mrs. York was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter, Margaret York (Tom) Puckett of Nashville; one brother, John Houston (Enzena) Mullins of Sparta; six grandchildren, Jeffrey (Renee) Puckett and Jason (Lindsay) Puckett, both of Nashville; Michael York (Bridget) Puckett of Franklin; James York, Jr. of Miami, FL; Elizabeth York (Myles) Clouston of New York, NY; Mary Margaret York (Tim) Behncke of Los Angeles, CA; five great grandchildren, Dillan York, Cate Puckett, Reagan Puckett, York Puckett, and Bennett Puckett; and daughter-in-law, Harriet Cox York of Atlanta, GA. She was preceded in death by a son, James Edward York.
