Florine Young Hardison

Mrs. Florine "Teenie" Young Hardison, 86, resident of Mooresville Pike in Culleoka, died Monday, October 19, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. at Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ with Pastor Henry Mobley and Brother Dan Kitchens officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday after 5:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. till service time at the church. Committal services will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Friendship Cemetery with Brother Dan Kitchens officiating. The Marshall County native was the daughter of the late Burke Taylor "Buck" Young and Annie Jones Young. On December 31, 1947 she married Mackie Lee Hardison who preceded her in death April 24, 2004. Mrs. Hardison was a faithful member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ for more than 47 years where she was a well loved and highly respected teacher at Columbia Christian Academy for 32 years. She previously worked at Durango Boot, Jamison Bedding and Tennessee Knitting Mills. She enjoyed cooking and was a very devoted grandmother to her grandchildren and many others who loved her dearly. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Barnhill of Culleoka; granddaughters, Kristy Michelle (Anthony) Beal of Dresden and Ayesha Lynn (Davy) Parker of Culleoka; great-grandchildren, Kala Michelle (Barry) Jennings of Walton, Kentucky, Anthony Dakota (Monica) Beal of Dresden, Chasity Lynn (Caleb) Avery of Bremen, Kentucky, and David Benjamin Parker of Culleoka; great-great grandchildren, Layton Jennings and Reagan Jennings both of Walton, Kentucky, Grayson Beal of Dresden; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Lois West and Doris Jones; brothers, Irvin Young, James Young, and Norris Young. Active pallbearers will be Anthony Beal, Davy Parker, Dakota Beal, Benjamin Parker, Barry Jennings, and Caleb Avery. Honorary pallbearers include Brothers of Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.
