View Video TributeView Funeral WebcastSarah Frances Winchester Brown, 80, former employee of Pelican Industries in Franklin and resident of North Laurel Circle and former longtime resident of Will Brown Road near Rally Hill, died Friday, May 23, 2014 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Hood and Brother Joe Macer officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday after 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Old Lasea Church of Christ, c/o James Kincaid, 5311 Harris Cemetery Road, Chapel Hill, TN 37034. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James William Winchester and Musie Roberson Winchester. She was married to Charles Hubert Brown who preceded her in death on March 25, 2003. Mrs. Brown was a member of Old Lasea Church of Christ. Survivors include four sons, Charles Dwight Brown, Douglas Allen (Judy Ann) Brown, Barry Owen Brown, and Scottie Ray Brown, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Cindy Ann (Jason) Owen and David Allen Brown, both of Columbia; Tiffany Kay Brown (Rhea) Brian of Spring Hill; several great grandchildren; sister, Pat Brown of Shelbyville; brother, Jim Winchester of Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by infant son, Mark Brown; brother, John L. Winchester; and four sisters, Norma Ruth Winchester, Marie Wright, Blanche Bennett, and Geraldine Puryear. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Old Lasea Church of Christ.
