Mrs. Mary Frances Trice Henson Lindsey, 95, native of Maury County, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010 in Monahans, Texas. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with her grandson, Pastor Randy Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Odessa, 516 North Texas Ave., Odessa, Texas 79761 or the Eastside Church of Christ, 122 South Ash St., Kermit, Texas 79745. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. Mrs. Lindsey was born on December 7, 1914 to the late Ollie and Ellen Iva Dale (King) Trice. On August 16, 1931 she married Marvin Henson, Sr. who preceded her in death on October 9, 1982. They were the loving parents of six children. She later married Raymond Lindsey of Mt. Pleasant. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1997. Shortly after, Mrs. Lindsey moved to Kermit, Texas to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Clara and Jack Marshall. Mrs. Lindsey was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Kermit. Those left to cherish her memory are a son, David Henson of Lynnville; 2 daughters, Margaret Ann Anderson of Pulaski and Clara (Jack) Marshall of Kermit, TX; 23 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Crawford of Cookeville; and 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Trice of Knoxville and Jane Page Trice of Columbia. She was preceded in death by two sons, Marvin Henson, Jr. and Melvin Ansley Henson; one daughter, Eleanor Fly; one grandson, Kenneth Henson; and 5 brothers, David Trice, O.A. Trice, Oakley Trice, Dudley Trice and Lillard Trice. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
