View Video TributeMrs. Martha Frances Sandlin Martin, 75, retired from Parks Belk Department Store, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her residence on Lake Elaine Road in Shelbyville with her two daughters by her side. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 noon at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Nathan Perry and Neal Pulley officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Hospice Compassus, 1805 N. Jackson St. 5, Tullahoma, TN 37388. Condolences to the family may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Mrs. Martin was born in Lawrence County, the daughter of the late William G. Sandlin and Flora Wynn Sandlin. She was a longtime resident of Demastus Lane in Columbia and was a graduate of Central High School. She was married for forty-four years to Thomas Jack Martin who preceded her in death in 2002. Mrs. Martin was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Kathey (John David) Ledbetter of Shelbyville; Debra (Mike) Jackson of Bell Buckle; grandchildren, John W. Ledbetter, Matt (Allison) Ledbetter, Katie Jackson, Samantha Jackson; and great-grandchildren, Jade Goins, Jana Ledbetter, Whitney Ledbetter, Brooke Ledbetter, Lainey Ledbetter and Wynslee Smartt. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
