View Video TributeView Funeral WebcastMrs. Frances Louise Fitzgerald Nance, 84, former resident of 4th Avenue in Riverside, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Royse City Health & Rehab in Rockwall, Texas. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Knob Creek Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, 4205 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 216, Nashville, TN 37215. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Leland Fitzgerald and Grace Priest Fitzgerald and was a graduate of Columbia Central High School. On September 29, 1984 she married Royce Clifford Nance who preceded her in death on October 19, 1994. She was former longtime employee of Sunshine Cleaners. Mrs. Nance enjoyed cooking, poetry, singing and playing the organ. She was of the Baptist faith. In years past, she performed in the Bass Family Trio at Four Square Church in Dallas, Texas. She loved Gospel Music and she loved the Lord. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Bass (Dan) Shellito of Rockwall, Texas; sons, John C. (Patty) Bass of Columbia, James Andrew (Kathleen) Bass of Lindale, Texas; brother, James Norris "Jim" Fitzgerald of Tullahoma; grandchildren, Ryan (Michelle) Bass, Shanda Bass, Drew Bass, Stephen (Valerie) Shellito, Randal Shellito; several great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Mark (Amie) Fitzgerald. Pallbearers will be Charlie Willis, Mark Fitzgerald, Joshua Holland, Stephen Shellito, Dan Shellito and Drew Bass.
