View Video TributeMrs. Frances Parks Riddle, 78, resident of Second Avenue, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Wendell Robinson and John Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5 - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Robert L. Parks and Virginia Jones Parks. She was a 1954 graduate of Columbia Central High School. On March 6, 1955 she married Charles Riddle of Columbia who survives. Mrs. Riddle began her career at Lucas Chevrolet in 1966 serving many years as office manager and retired in 1996 as Vice President. She loved working all kinds of crossword puzzles and watching old movies especially the classics and was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Riddle was a member of Graymere Church of Christ and the Williams- Riddle Sunday School Class. In addition to her husband survivors include a daughter, Delilah (Johnny) Andrews of Columbia; sons, Roger (Connie) Riddle and Brian Riddle both of Columbia, Tim (Lisa) Riddle of Valdosta, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Rebecca Farris, Bethany Gray, Nick Andrews, Cam Andrews, Gracie Andrews, Casey Riddle, Cody Riddle, Justin Riddle; two great grandchildren, Linley Farris and Mabry Gray; sister, JoAnn Ashmore of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; and brother, James L. "Pete" Parks of the Shady Grove Community. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dot Craig and brother, Richard Parks. Active pallbearers will be Nick Andrews, Cam Andrews, Justin Riddle, Cody Riddle, James Gray and Ben Farris. Honorary pallbearers include Harold Lucas, Tom Lucas, Don Riddle, Tom Riddle, Jim Riddle, Bob Riddle and Ken Riddle.
