Mrs. Frances Marie Anderson Springer, 80, resident of Edgar Springs, Missouri and former resident of Columbia, died Wednesday in Missouri where she had made her home for the past several years. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Frank Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late William W. Anderson and Carrie Carpenter Anderson and was a 1952 graduate of Campbellsville High School. She married Tommy Springer who preceded her in death March 15, 2006. Mrs. Springer was retired from Jones & Lang. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Salem, Missouri. Survivors include her sons, Leslie Paul (Karen) Dowell of Edgar Springs, Missouri, William Carl (Karen Jean) Dowell of Gallatin; sister, Anne (Charles) Daniels of Waverly; brother, Rev. John Anderson of Columbia; and one grandchild, Ray Inman, Jr. of St. Augustine, Florida. Active pallbearers include Steve Johnson, Rodney Jones, John Michael Johnson and Ray Inman.
