View Funeral Webcast Mr. Frank R. Lindsey, 88, a resident of Columbia, died Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Lindsey will be conducted Wednesday, September 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Matthew Trevors and Brother Walter Clot officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery in the Theta community with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The family is requesting respectfully that masks be worn and to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born December 13, 1932 in Hickman County, he was the son of the late Herbert Lindsey and the late Beulah Bibb Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. On May 26, 1956 he married Lois Alderson Lindsey. He was employed by the United States Postal Service and retired in 1992. Mr, Lindsey enjoyed wood working, fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a long time member of Northside Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Frankie (Andy) Pinnix of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; son, Alan (Regina) Lindsey of Spring Hill; grandsons, Bradley Pinnix, Caleb Lindsey and Evan Lindsey; sister, Anne Baker of Leoma; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Lindsey and James Lindsey; and sister Elizabeth Temes. Pallbearers will be Bradley Pinnix, Caleb Lindsey, Evan Lindsey, Butch Temes, David Temes, and David Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews and members of Ready Sunday School Class at Northside Baptist Church.
