Gary Lee Bowers, 61, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 26, 2024, at his residence in Columbia.
No services are scheduled at this time. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements and online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born October 2, 1962, he was the son of Nola Marie McFarland Bowers and the late Troy Lee Bowers. Mr. Bowers enjoyed fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan, Dale Earnhardt always being his favorite driver. Above all, he was a loving son, father, and grandfather. Mr. Bowers was a member of Loyal Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Joshua Lee Bowers; daughter, Jessica Mae Bowers Grzechowiak; grandchildren, Addison Marie Grzechowiak, and Carter Joseph Grzechowiak; sister, Lisa Bowers (Jerry) Williams; brothers, Keith Wendell (Shelly) Bowers, and Kurt Anthony (Nina) Bowers; and several nieces and nephews.
