Gene Holt

Raymond Eugene “Gene” Holt, 80, retired plant manager and farmer, and resident of Columbia, passed away at his residence on April 10, 2026.

Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, April 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Riverside Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Marston officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Riverside Methodist Church. Born October 11, 1945 in Nashville, TN, Gene was the son of the late Herman Eugene Holt and the late Bessie Mae Culberson Holt. Gene was member of Riverside Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Elaine Taylor Holt; daughters, Regina Ruth Holt, Tina Elaine (Greg) Simmons, and Lisa Ann (Greg) Wright; grandchildren, Luke, Gage, Kendall, Jackson, and Seth; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Patsy Maynord.
