View Video TributeElsie Geraldine Ballard Andrews, 85, former resident of Columbia, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at her residence in Hendersonville. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11:30 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Don Loftis officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Covington, Tennessee native was the daughter of the late Henry Ballard and Sadie May DeLancy Ballard. She was a homemaker who loved sewing and crocheting. She was a member of Old Hickory Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Teena Dawn Andrews of Nashville; sons, Rickey Phil Andrews, Gerald Thomas (Cindy) Andrews, Danny Eldean Andrews all of Hendersonville; sisters-in-law, Ruby Ballard of California, Rebecca Ballard of Columbia; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Owen Ballard and Roy Ballard. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
