Glenda Chadwell White

View Funeral Webcast Mrs. Glenda Faye Chadwell White, 64, licensed insurance agent and enroller for BCI Insurance and resident of Patterson Drive, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Glen Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late John Henry Chadwell and Mary Kelly Turner. She was a 1963 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended the Shady Grove Church of Christ. During her career in the insurance industry, she travelled extensively enrolling corporations for insurance benefits. Mrs. White was a member of The King's Daughters and Red Hat Society. Survivors include her husband, Roy E. White of Columbia, whom she married November 1, 1997; a daughter, Beth (Robert) Owen of Nolensville; granddaughters, Lauren Downs and Hannah Owen; grandson, Taylor Owen; brother, John (Bonnie) Chadwell of Columbia; step-father, Charles Turner of Columbia; step-son, Chandler White of Charlotte, North Carolina; aunt, Geneva Johnson; and several cousins. Pallbearers are Robert Owen, Taylor Owen, Mark Curry, Todd Curry, Jim Hayden, Chandler White, Mike Lynch, and Judd Curry. BCI Insurance employees will serve as honorary pallbearers.
