Gloria Johnson

Gloria Dean Davis Fleming Johnson, 81, former resident of Columbia and longtime resident of Union Grove, Alabama, died Friday, March 27, 2015 at Boaz Hospital near Albertville, Alabama, where she had recently made her home. Relatives and friends are invited to Gloria's life celebration from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Born August 6, 1933 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Davis and Louella Burlison Davis. She was formerly employed at Old Gin Carpets in Huntsville, Alabama. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed playing bingo and cards. She was a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors include her husband, Douglas Johnson of Albertville, AL; children, Janet (Joe) Marsh of La Vergne, TN; Joey (Barbara) Fleming of Huntsville, AL; JoCasta Green and Aline (David) Simpson, both of Tucker, GA; Scott (Sherry) Fleming of Albertville, AL; Tammy Johnson of Hartselle, AL; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Billy Roy Park of Columbia. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Fleming and brother, Cordell Davis.
