View Video Tribute Hazel McFerrin Watson Hall, 88, retired hairdresser and resident of Eiger Place, died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Life Care of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Pastor Randy Miller and Pastor Wade Bibb officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Blanche Cemetery in the Blanche Community in Lincoln County. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Lincoln County native was the daughter of the late Charlie B. McFerrin and Mary Colvert McFerrin Eslick. She was a graduate of Blanche High School. A faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mrs. Hall loved sewing in her leisure time. She was first married to James B. Watson who died in 1985. On February 7, 1991, she married Jeptha Roy Hall, Jr. who died November 2, 2000. Survivors include her daughter, Marsha Watson (John) Kirk of Columbia; granddaughter, Sarah Kirk (Jeff) Southworth of Columbia; great-grandson, Benjamin Kirk Southworth of Columbia; step-children, Jennifer (Greg) Lewis of Franklin, Patricia (Don) Smith of Salisbury, NC, Melissa (Wade) Bibb of Knoxville, and Jeptha Roy (Kris) Hall, III of Nappanee, IN; thirteen step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Bonnie McFerrin of Fayetteville and brother-in-law, Luther Hopkins of Fayetteville. She was preceded in death by a son, Benny Watson; five sisters, and three brothers. Active pallbearers are Rodger Peterson, Dick Gilbert, Ken Rakow, James Bond, Carroll Hicklen, Ronnie McLemore, John Clear, Roy Vick, and Bruce Kirk. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Ben Gardner and Staff, Dr. Jacques Heibig and Staff. The family expresses appreciation to her caregivers Debra Cathey, Kim Cathey, and Crystal Webster for their loving care and concern during her illness.
