MRS. HAZEL POTTSMrs. Hazel Elizabeth Foster Potts, 92, resident of Cheyenne Trail, died Tuesday, January 21, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Wiesinger officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. She was married to Emory Thomas Potts who preceded her in death August, 1966. She was a homemaker and attended Grace Church of the Nazarene.Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte (Dorris) Hickman, Rachel Tennyson, Margaret Jennette all of Columbia; two sons, Marshall "MT" (Freeda) Potts, Billy (Betty Lou) Potts both of Columbia; three sisters, Josephine Bates of Nashville, Evelyn Smith of Columbia, Betty Rudnick of Shreveport, Louisiana; five brothers, Ray Foster of Lewisburg, Bliss Foster of Atlanta, Georgia, Earl Foster and John Foster both of Nashville, Edward Fosterof Dallas, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by one son, LeRoy Potts, two grandchildren and two brothers.Pallbearers will be grandsons.
