Helen Moss Loveless Blocker

Mrs. Helen Moss Loveless Blocker, 83, retired bookkeeper at Burt's Dress Shop, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Wayne Hardison officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Northview Church of Christ, 865 Nashville Highway, Columbia, TN 38401. On June 4, 1954 she married Mitchell Edward Blocker, Jr. who preceded her in death on January 25, 1978. Mrs. Blocker was a member of Northview Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Judy (Randy) Dawson of Columbia; Sherry Blocker of Murfreesboro; Patricia Loveless Morris of Jackson; one son, Gary (Wendy) Loveless of Clarksville; devoted friends, Darrell Connelly of Columbia; Vicki Massey of Murfreesboro; nine grandchildren, Michael Sean Loveless, William Edward Loveless, Jason Lance Loveless, William Leon Whitlatch, III, Alexia Whitlatch Bolton, Randall Hunter Dawson, Dakota Smith Dawson, Christopher Michael Morris, Cory Morris; several great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Mitchell Edward Blocker, III on December 11, 1994 and several brothers and sisters. Family will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Northview Church of Christ.
