View Funeral WebcastMrs. Nancy Helen Hall Pagel, 80, resident of Criddle Drive, died Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Graymere Church of Christ with John Vaughan and Bob Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Monday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the church. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late William Franklin Hall and Zettie Robinson Hall. She was a 1953 graduate of Culleoka High School and served 25 years as Docent for the James K. Polk Home. She was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Over the past 50 years Mrs. Pagel was a tireless helpmate to her husband Wayne in his work in the Church. She loved teaching the Bible and did so for more than 40 years. During those years she also accompanied Mr. Pagel on numerous mission trips including those to Russia, the Ukraine and India. Mrs. Pagel always told her family to give her flowers while she was living so she could enjoy them. Survivors include her husband whom she married June 27, 1953, Wayne William Pagel, Sr. of Columbia; four children, Dena Pagel (Tommy) Ray of Culleoka; Wayne (Lana) Pagel, Jr. of Loveland, Ohio; Tami Pagel (Jimmy) Parrish of Columbia; Nathan (Beth) Pagel of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Stephen (Jaymi) Ray of Lynnville; Rhea Pagel (Steve) Ashley of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Adam (Amanda) Ray of Lynnville; Wayne W. Pagel, III of St. Peter, Minnesota; Helena Blair Parrish of Columbia; Ariel Pagel of Antioch; Jacob Pagel and Jackson Pagel, both of Murfreesboro; great grandchildren, Breanna Ray of Lynnville; Drew Ashley and Eli Ashley, both of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Adam Wayne "A.J." Ray, Jr. and Jaymes Ray, both of Lynnville; sister, Frances Howell of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. Active pallbearers will be Tommy Ray, Stephen Ray, Adam Ray, Steve Gordon, Wayne Pettus, and Jimmy Parrish. Honorary pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of Graymere Church of Christ.
